Deputy Head – Girl’s Participation

Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking for a full time gymnastics coach to join our coaching team.  Working alongside the Head of Participation the successful applicant will play a leading role in the delivery of our girl’s recreational programme. 

The successful candidate will be required to deputise for the Head of Department and lead and mentor a team of coaches with the aim of providing high quality gymnastics sessions which allow gymnasts of all levels to fulfil their potential. 

The Role

  • Lead the delivery of the girl’s recreational and improver programme in the absence of the Department Head
  • Deliver high quality fun gymnastics sessions
  • Deliver in house curriculum
  • Facilitate talent identification within the groups.
  • Additional duties within the club to ensure the position is viable.

  • A Level 2 or above in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics / General Gymnastics Coaching Qualification.
  • A desire to make a difference to the lives of gymnasts in our local community.

Day-time Gymnastics Coach (either Part or Full time)

Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit a day time Gymnastics Coach to help to continue the club’s success.  This is an essential role within the club and the successful candidate will be key to the club continuing to provide high quality gymnastics coaching for our early year gymnasts.

The Role

Responsible to the Lead Pre-School Gymnastics Coach, the successful candidate will coach across the clubs daytime programme.  The coach will deliver the following sessions: Pre-school, Baby gym and SEN sessions.  An ability to adapt their coaching style to a range of ages and abilities is essential.  The typical working week will be Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate would hold at least a level 2 British Gymnastics Coaching qualification. We welcome applications from Level 1 gymnastics coaches.  A qualification in Pre-school gymnastics would be preferable.
  • We would also welcome applications from Early Years Practitioners, who are looking for a change in career.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering coaching or classroom based sessions.
