Part Time Gymnastics Coaches Required

An opportunity to start a career in gymnastics coaching or increase your coaching skills. Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit part time gymnastics coaches to support us in the delivery of our recreational gymnastics classes.  Level 1 and 2 Gymnastics coaches and individuals wishing to take their first steps into coaching. 

  The Role

Every week hundreds of gymnasts from our local community participate in our recreational gymnastics sessions.  We need enthusiastic coaches to help us with the delivery of these sessions and help inspire the next generation of club gymnasts.

 Requirements

  • Ideal candidates will hold a level 1 or level 2 British Gymnastics coaching qualification
  • Unqualified individuals will receive full training to level 1 standard of coaching at which point they will then be able to take a group on their own under the guidance of a level 2 coach.
  • All candidates will be subject to enhance DBS check and will be required to undergo Safeguarding and Protecting Children training.

Head of Women’s Artistic Gymnastics

 

Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit a Head of Women’s Artistic Gymnastics to continue our success at national and international level.  Our club is committed to challenging the very best clubs in Great Britain with a dedicated team of full time elite coaches.  The successful candidate will be tasked with developing the existing girls within our programme and identifying and nurturing our future gymnasts and coaches.  This is a once in a decade opportunity for the right coach to produce elite gymnasts.

 

The Role

Responsible to the Club Manager, the successful candidate will manage the Women’s Artistic Performance Department and oversee the Girl’s Programme from Development classes, through squads, to the club’s senior elite gymnasts.  They will have excellent mentoring and management skills and will be able to lead a team of coaches.  This role will require the coach to work the required hours to produce high level gymnastics, a typical week will be Monday to Saturday.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate would hold an IPC coaching qualification in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, though we would consider candidates with an HPC (Level 5) coaching qualification in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of producing national squad gymnasts, and a pedigree of producing junior or senior international standard of gymnasts would be favourable.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of building and leading a cohesive coaching team where every coach’s efforts are recognised and they are supported to further improve their knowledge.

Full time Gymnastics Display Coach Required

Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking for a full time gymnastics coach to plan, deliver and oversee the Clubs display team either in the discipline of Acrobatics or Teamgym.  This is a new and energetic section of the club and over the last three years have started to make a name for themselves with medals at the English Acrobatics Championships, participation within gymfusion events and in October 2018 competed in the Gymnastique Magique acro and display completion at Disneyland Paris. 

 

 The Role

 

  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of the clubs display sessions
  • Identify suitable competitions and evens to further develop the experience and skills of the gymnasts within the programme.
  • Lead, mentor and inspire junior of coaches to deliver your goals.
  • Facilitate talent identification within the groups.
  • Support the delivery of the clubs wider gymnastics programme.

 

 Benefits

 

  • The salary is £17,000-£21,000 + 32 days of annual leave (including bank holidays). 
  • Opportunities to develop coaching skills through weekly internal staff training clinics lead by our senior coaching team.
  • Funded British Gymnastics coaching courses with mentoring support from our coaching team.
  • The standard working week is 40 hours a week over 5 days (Sunday to Thursday)

Temporary Position for High Level Coach

 

Huntingdon gymnastics club requires an international coach with a proven track record of working with and producing gymnasts to World and Olympic Level.  Able to work with both men’s and women’s high level artistic programme s as well as an ability to lead and lecture classes and coaches at recreational and developmental stages in all areas of the sport.  Excellent planning skills are a must, as is a good command of the English Language.

 

The position will cover the weeks from 20th July to 25th August 2019.
