Head of Girls Recreational Gymnastics


Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit a Head of Girl’s Recreational Gymnastics to continue the success of our community gymnastics programme.  The successful candidate will have the responsibility to plan and deliver the Girl’s Recreational Gymnastics Programme, aiming to provide progressive and developmental sessions for all participants. 


The Role

This is a senior position within the club as we recognize the importance of the role, the successful candidate will manage the Girl’s recreational and improver Programme.  In addition to leading the girl’s recreational session the successful candidate will be responsible for the girl’s improver sessions.  Our improver classes are a gymnasts first steps towards the squad programme, therefore this is a key post for identifying and nurturing the next generation of Huntingdon gymnasts.  The successful candidate will have excellent mentoring and management skills and will be able to lead a team of coaches.  This role will require the coach to work 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday.



  • Salary £25,000-£30,000.
  • 32 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • The club will cover the costs of CPD (British Gymnastics Coaching Course and other personal development courses)



  • The ideal candidate will hold a level 3 WA coaching qualification, Level 2 WA coaches maybe considered.
  • Experience of planning, implementing training programme for multiple groups of gymnasts.
  • Able to mentor and manage a team of coaches.
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, gymnasts and parents are essential.

Friday 4:15pm to 8.30pm (4.25 hours)


Saturday 8:45am to 12.15pm (3.5 hours)


Sunday 8:45am to 12 o’clock (3.25 hours)




Holiday Times (8 weeks per year):


Monday 4pm to 8.30pm (4.5 hours)


Sunday 8:45am to 12 o’clock (3.25 hours)
