Deputy Head – Girl’s Participation Coach
Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking for a full time gymnastics coach to join our coaching team. Working alongside the Head of Participation the successful applicant will play a leading role in the delivery of our girl’s recreational programme.
The successful candidate will be required to deputise for the Head of Department and lead and mentor a team of coaches with the aim of providing high quality gymnastics sessions which allow gymnasts of all levels to fulfil their potential.
The Role
- Lead the delivery of the girl’s recreational and improver programme in the absence of the Department Head
- Deliver high quality fun gymnastics sessions
- Deliver in house curriculum
- Facilitate talent identification within the groups.
- Additional duties within the club to ensure the position is viable.

Do you have:
- A Level 2 or above in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics / General Gymnastics Coaching Qualification.
- A desire to make a difference to the lives of gymnasts in our local community.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills

Apprentice Coach
Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit a full-time Apprentice Gymnastics Coach to enable someone to take their first steps into a career within sport. This is an opportunity for aspiring gymnastics coach to gain both experience and British Gymnastics Coaching qualifications in an established gymnastics club. In addition they will complete a Level 2 NVQ recognised nationally by Sport England.
The Role
Responsible to the Head of Participation Gymnastics, the successful candidate will gain experience coaching in a wide variety of sessions across the club. The coach will undertake a level 1 and a level 2 coaching qualification in a British Gymnastics Discipline. In addition the candidate will complete a Level 2 NVQ Community Activator Coach qualification.

- Initial apprentice pay of £6 per hour
- 40 hours per week over 5 days (either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday), including 8 hours college release time to complete educational training.

Requirements
- The ideal candidate would hold a passion for the sport of gymnastics.
- The successful candidate will have some experience of sports coaching.
