Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Performance coaches to join our team. This a crucial role within the club. Working alongside the Head of Men’s Artistic Gymnastics – Ben Howells, the successful applicant will play a leading role in the future development of the clubs Performance Programme.
The Role
- Take responsibilities for the delivery of gymnastics to specific groups within the Men’s Artistic programme
- Support the delivery of the wider Men’s Artistic Performance Squad programme
- Deliver high quality, safe, developmental and enjoyable gymnastics sessions
- Facilitate talent identification within the groups.

- The salary range is £25,000-£31,000 dependent on qualification and experience

Do you have:
- Level 4 or 5 in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics is desirable, Level 3 coaches working towards L4 are encouraged to apply, ambitious or exceptional Level 2 coaches working towards Level 3 will be considered.
- A desire to allow gymnasts to reach potential whilst providing a safe, enjoyable, developmental training environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A passion for Gymnastics

Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit a Senior Participation Coach, this position requires a highly-motivated, committed person who is able to work both as part of a team and to manage a team using their initiative on individual projects.
This is a 1 year fixed term maternity cover contract.
The Role
- Through coordinated work with the other post holder, the Senior Participation Coaches will be responsible for leading the delivery of gymnastics sessions within the Participation Department.
- Responsible for the running of the Participation Programme in the absence of the Head of Participation.
- Deliver high quality, safe, developmental and enjoyable gymnastics sessions in line with the clubs curriculum and talent ID pathways.
- Take responsibilities for the delivery to specific groups within the programme.

Apprenticeships
Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is looking to recruit a full-time Apprentice Gymnastics Coach to enable someone to take their first steps into a career within sport. This is an opportunity for aspiring gymnastics coach to gain both experience and British Gymnastics Coaching qualifications in an established gymnastics club. In addition they will complete a Level 2 NVQ recognised nationally by Sport England.
The Role
Responsible to the Head of Participation Gymnastics, the successful candidate will gain experience coaching in a wide variety of sessions across the club. The coach will undertake a level 1 and a level 2 coaching qualification in a British Gymnastics Discipline. In addition the candidate will complete a Level 2 NVQ Community Activator Coach qualification.

- Initial apprentice pay of £6 per hour
- 40 hours per week over 5 days (either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday), including 8 hours college release time to complete educational training.
- 32 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).

Job Title: Club Administrator/Front of House
Position: 34.75 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:45 to 3:30pm
Thursday, Friday 8:45 to 4:45pm
Reports to and accountable to: Office Manager
Key Relationships: Club Manager, Club Manager, Club Accountant, Treasurer, Paid and volunteer coaches, Parents, Gymnasts, Volunteers
Overall purpose: To provide professional, comprehensive and flexible administrative support to the Office Manager, Data Entry and support to the bookkeeper and provide front of house services to parents, gymnasts and the public.
Core Tasks
Respond to telephone calls, transferring calls and taking messages as appropriate.
- Presentation of a professional and helpful image to enquirers.
- Respond to enquiries in person, by telephone and via social media.
- Assist the Office Manager with audit of files, accuracy of data and general tasks in relation to database.
- Set up of courses/classes and term times on the in house database
- Undertake all general secretarial tasks including word processing/typing letters and reports as directed. To ensure documents are produced accurately and in the correct format.
- Undertake general administrative and reception duties including photocopying, filing, dealing with enquiries and liaising with suppliers.
- Procuring cleaning supplies and monitoring office stationery.
- Assist the Office manager with data entry to the finance system, and other general tasks as appropriate.
- Complete and audit till sheets and audit money taken to accounting system (Days takings)
- Management of the preschool classes, including all administrative tasks and allocation of places, as well as managing the waiting list.
- Undertake additional specific administration tasks as directed, directly relating to the post.
- Work to deadlines and respond in a flexible way to the changing demands of Huntingdon Gymnastics Club work.
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the office environs and the front foyer.
- Control and monitor competition entries on request from coaches.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to the work undertaken.
- Respond sensitively and professionally to the children, young people and families who work with Huntingdon Gymnastics Club.
- To be aware of equal opportunities issues and to work positively towards discriminatory and anti-racist practice.
- Keep the Office Manager informed of work in progress and inform the Office Manager immediately of any child protection matter.
- To ensure compliance with child protection procedures.
- In conjunction with the Office Manager, ensure that the building is maintained to an adequate standard and complies with health and safety legislation and ensure its contents are secure at all times.
- To support and maintain good relationships with other colleagues.
- Where necessary and with prior arrangement provide cover for other office staff. To work to deadlines and respond in a flexible way to the demands of the work.
- To organise and provide refreshments to visitors and during meetings.
- To deal with contractors where necessary and advise the office Manager of work undertaken.
- To attend meetings as directed and take minutes if necessary.
- To attend and participate in team meetings, briefings, support meetings, training courses, supervision sessions, punctually and well prepared, as appropriate and when required.
Additional Duties
The post holder will be expected to undertake training and development deemed necessary for the pursuance of the post
