Huntingdon’s A-Squad boys competed at the East Region MAG Voluntary Championships at Pipers Vale on Sunday and all performed brilliantly. The competition was a great experience for them all to compete over the 6 pieces of apparatus: Floor, Vault, Parallel Bars, High Bar, Rings, and Pommel.
10 of the A-squad boys competed across 3 age groups: under 10, under 12, and under 14.
The U10 category was a fierce competition with a lot of competitors, however all of the gymnasts performed really well across all 6 pieces, In the U12 category; Ned Belchier won silver overall, as well as a silver medal on PBars and High bar, and a bronze medal on Pommel, Rings, and Vault. Kai Coleman won a bronze medal overall, as well as a silver medal on Floor and Rings, and a bronze medal on PBars and High Bar. Oliver King, won a bronze medal in floor, and won a silver medal on Pommel and Vault.
In the U14 competition they only gave awards for the all around competition: Jacob Tuck won gold around and Marlow Dupont won silver all around.
