Huntingdon Gymnastics Club junior boys competed extremely well at the Pegasus Open Invitational this weekend, held in Maidstone, Kent.
The HGC boys hauled in a tally of some 17 medals. Their hard work an efforts paid off!
In the U10's Bradley Cooper (10) and Josh Papworth (10) did well, Bradley taking silver on pommel horse and parallel bars, plus a bronze on vault.
Our u12's trio saw Ryan Cirino (11) claiming the overall silver with a parallel bars gold and a pommel silver. Kieron Burch (11) took overall bronze with a silver on vault and teammate Naill Hooton (11) attained silver on parallel bars, plus a bronze on floor.
Jake Jarman (13) claimed top spot in the u14's with a score of 76.100 for the gold, with a nice collection of apparatus medals; gold on pommel horse, vault and parallel bars, plus silver on floor and high bar and a bronze for rings.
"A fitting end to our junior boys competition season" as HGC builds up for a display extravaganza this weekend 'gymvolution' and looks forward to a productive summers' training, with activity camps a-plenty.
Our oldest junior gymnast, Tony Duchars (17), embarks on a great journey to Georgia this weekend to compete for Ireland in the European Youth Olympics. HGC wishes Tony all the very bet of luck.
