Two of Huntingdon’s tumbling gymnasts competed in Peterborough over the weekend in the first of two semi-final competitions, the second of which is due to be held in Sheffield in a fortnight. Jacob Tuck competed in the morning with a strong performance in the L5 13-14 age group where he came in 5th place. Isaac Broadhurst, who was competing at his first major tumbling competition impressed the judges with three great runs and won a silver medal for his efforts on the day in the L4 11-12 age group
Tumbling Coach Steve said “Both boys competed well and should be on course to qualify for national finals in July. With the top 8 scores over both weekends counting towards qualification, the boys placements in Peterborough should secure their spots. We will be looking to make a few tweaks ready for Sheffield in a couple of weeks’ time so we can continue with the good work done so far. Isaac wining a silver medal in his first national tumbling competition is a testament to all his hard work and was well earned"
