Huntingdon’s A-Squad boys competed over 3 rounds of competition at the East Region General Gymnastics Championships at Pipers Vale on Sunday and all performed brilliantly. The competition was over 4 pieces of Men’s apparatus, Floor, Vault, Parallel Bars and High Bar. With 13 A-squad boys competing throughout the day the boys managed to bring home a total of 25 medals between them, 10 of which were gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze.
A-squad coach Steve said of the day “It was a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work the boys put into their routines and to come home with a total of 25 medals is fantastic, 10 of which were gold. All of the boys competed really well and some even surprised themselves with what they were able to present to the judges. It’s the first competition of the year for the A-Squad boys and we now look forward to the Men’s Artistic competition in June and the tumbling series that is due to begin in the next few weeks”
