Gymnasts will compete on 3 pieces of apparatus, the gymnasts will be judged on each piece. Apparatus Certificates will be awarded for each age group and level for positions 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. All three apparatus results will be added up and an All-Around Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Our U5s festival will be run for all children born in 2018, the gymnasts will present their routines to our judges, all participants will receive a rosette recognising their achievements.
Preparing for competitions
Initially all gymnasts will start to learn the routines, regardless if they are intending to take part in the competition or not. As practicing sequences of skills and perfecting skills that are already learnt is an important part of gymnastics. During the sessions the coaches will identify the suitable level of competition for each gymnast. As we move closer to the competition dates, those gymnasts not taking part will return to normal sessions that focus on learning and improving individual skills. Those gymnasts taking part in the competition will fine tune their routines and prepare for the competition.
I am hopeful that a large number of our gymnasts are able to take part in the competition. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in contact with either, Chris, Katie or myself,
